Student Account Expiration Policy

 

Student accounts will expire after three inactive enrollment periods, which includes intersession, except as noted below.

If you are currently enrolled in courses and have received notification that your account is marked for deletion in error, please contact us via needhelp.ou.edu or call 325-HELP.

As part of the campus upgrade to Office 365, lifetime email accounts are now available to Graduates of OU Norman starting with the class of 2015.  Classes prior to 2015 are not eligible for an Office 365 lifetime account, but may contact The Alumni Association about obtaining an @alumni.ou.edu email address.  You may email The Alumni Association at alumni@ou.edu or visit The Alumni Association homepage for more information.

If you require an @ou.edu email account to continue your affiliation with the University, you may apply for an exception account by completing this request form, available through the Service Catalog. Please be aware that this request will generate a new OUNetID (a.k.a 4x4) and email address, and none of the previous account information will be renewed -- copies of the email will not be retained.
